How to write gooder

by Carl Natale on June 1, 2010

So I stepped into a bit of controversy when I wrote some tips meant to encourage people to write. Writing can be intimidating. Generating coherent thoughts and putting them on paper is a bit scary. For some people it’s on par with public speaking.

To help take some of the intimidation out of it, I wrote that strict adherence to grammar isn’t so important. Naturally commenters disagreed. I can’t say they’re wrong. But there are some rules that don’t could your meaning or make you look stupid.

To try to redeem myself, I followed up with “6 Articles That Will Improve Your Writing.” I don’t know if this gets me out of the grammarian doghouse but I promise you will find something useful.
